Laveau, being naturally associated with those who choose to end their lives there, has built up even more of a reputation as a result of the conveniently located Cemetery and Crematorium. Used irregularly, seemingly only to burn and bury those bodies found in Laveau itself, it's an eerie place, said to be haunted, but that's entirely urban myth. Realistically, it's just creepy.
