The year is 2025. New Otford has changed. Have you? With the rise in STUN recruitment efforts and aggressive attacks on so-called 'super-terrorist' groups, factions such as Defiance Front are all but wiped out. Tiny splinter cells remain, but nothing compared to what they once were. STUN's increased impunity, however, and the increase in the power of individual supers, has resulted in the entire city going on lockdown. Nobody can enter or leave. Drones fly through the streets, scanning nearly everyone they come across. The police are harsh, brutal and violent. Which side will you pick? Is either even a good choice? Write your story... Or at least finish it.
??.06.2025 Mayor Alice Stone asserts that she has finally captured and killed 'Zero', the head of Defiance Front, after a lengthy and no doubt expensive campaign. Whether or not this is true, is yet to be seen, however the militarization, brutality and suppression resultant from the police force doesn't seem to be lightening in any way...
31.12.2024 In a freak series of terrorist attacks, three hospitals are blown up in the space of six minutes, in a set of attacks now known as: 'The New Year's Massacre'. These attacks killed a total of 4,213 people; and allegedly, Defiance Front splinter-groups claimed responsibility - sparking the rumour that maybe DF wasn't dead after all.
23.02.2024 President Mead elects to grant further powers to the police, and in doing so, inadvertently grants great power to STUN. Militarization of the police becomes standard, and it is not uncommon to see unpowered supers in exo-skeletons or small mechanized vehicles patrolling the streets, harassing anyone that might be an issue, or a rogue super.
04.08.2023 President Frank Mead comes into power, electing to enclose the 'harbor cities' of New Otford and several others, in essence, locking the largest populations of supers in the US, in giant, city sized cages.
06.09.2022 Mayor Swift is succeeded by a new leader, Mayor Alice Stone. Mayor Stone grants increased impunity to STUN, and announces the 'Extinction of Defiance Front', whether true or false.
31.12.2021 The Defiance Front Headquarters and other secret operations are located and destroyed in what is now referred to as 'The New Year's Quells'.
21.07.2021 A city crippled by uncertainty, New Otford finds itself hanging in the balance. STUN teams desperately try to keep the peace while battling the Defiance Front, but hostilities are growing, and the neo-nazi groups of anti-supers grow louder and fiercer. STUN have involuntarily found themselves their symbolic poster-boys, and the ghettoization of neighbourhoods continues despite their desperate attempts to stop it.
19.07.2021 Operation Steel Anchor is announced. Mayor Swift declares a state of civil war against the Defiance Front. The rest of the country, and indeed the world, watches with bated breath as the city begins to eat itself alive.
12.05.2021 The Caspian Phenomena occurs in May 2021, with swathes of people taking up the humanitarian banner for the tiger man of New Otford. Demonstrations, both peaceful and violent, break out as failures are exposed in the police force, including bribes made by neo-nazi group leaders.
New Otford, a densely populated city in the geographical location of would-be Chicago. Following a timeline and reality separate from our own, the City suffers from a harshly divided population.
The year is 2020. New Otford's 'super' population is at an all-time high, leading to increased political, social and cultural tensions amongst the residents. A segregated society, the City's streets are ablaze with the passionate demands of all those who make it their home, with the unpowered and 'supers' often coming into aggressive clashes. Fundamentally divided, the future of the city is uncertain, and it is only damned to worsen as the hostilities continue to brew.

Slowly, as the citizens wallow in debt and the failing economy of the city, tensions are beginning to rise once more.
